No they're not. The CTR lights have a tinted or painted surround. The Si/SiR doesn't.

Thats what I was thinking. I figured everyone was doing it the cheap way....not thats bad....to make the headlights look like CTR. Black housing not chrome. I just dont feel comfortable taking mine apart.

The type-r headlights have a light tint. "Smoked" housing. They still look like chrome, but darkened.

The ones we are making are actually black.

it seems like a semi big project.

maybe I'm just a little scared of having to take off the bumper, take out the lights, cook the lights, sepparate the lights, mask the lights, paint the lights, inspect the lights, put the lights back together, reinstall them, put the bumper back on, pray to god that you won't get condensation.....

Ohh! look at this mod....a new shifter! this is a very technical project here....

(Notice the OBVIOUS difference between the Yellow Civic and the Silver CTR.)

White is so beautiful!!! I love the championship white CTR. That is one of the biggest reasons I chose white on my Si. hehe. I also notice that the JDM CTR doesnt have side markers on that pic. hmmm. Do all the CTRs not come with side markers?

Hey, that is true....they are a bit tinted compared to the Si...cool ! To bad it isnt like that in reality. I just looked at the swedish broscheur of the CTR....it is the same tinted look there...but not in reality...strange ! HAve to check that with my dealer.... maybe he can tell me why !?

Most European cars don't have them. We require them for DOT approval.
