Question HKS Intake /Hondata 4 Questions (long)

Here is the deal, I just got the Hondata Reflash I freakin Love it, It Really takes care of some of the Short commings of this Motor, The Main Reason I chose the Hondata is Because on the(Hondata) Dyno It seemed that the Gains were almost Equal to I/H/E. Without the Hassle. Then Some people on the Boards are Telling I need to get an intake because The Motor with The Reflash will require some More Air. I dont want to Mess with a CAI. I got a great deal on an hks Intake. From An ephatcher.(end of Ramble)

    Questions.

    1) I live in the City so my Low and Mid end Is very Important to Me. Will I lose Some?

2)What does an HKS intake sound like with A stock Exhaust( I dont want the cops to Hear Me coming Like a big Ratty Fart Can.)

    3) Is heat soak an Issue.

4). If I am Happy how the car Feels and performs with Hondata Only, Do I need an Intake. like will the so Called lack of air Prevent my Motor from Lating the 224,000. Miles I got out my Old Prelude

    Thank you

and yes I am kinda a Freak

Congrats on the hondata flash. Let us know if you get the car
    on a dyno/drag strip.

    1) An HKS (which I think is a short ram, right?) should only really
improve high end torque/hp. When you're barely moving, or at
a stop, the engine bay is hot and you're mainly sucking in warm
air. When you're moving, that's when you'll get the cooler air
    moving through the engine bay...

    2) An intake shouldn't do much to the sound of the exhaust. You'll
hear the engine more, but it won't scare the neighbors away.

    3) Yes, heat soak is an issue. Re: the first question. Run a search
on "short ram" and you'll get lots of info.

    4) An intake shouldn't be necessary. If anything, you might want
to do the Hondata airbox mod (the Hondata site has more info)
or just get a K&N for the stock box. But it's shouldn't harm your
engine (the increased revs might, but not a lack of air).
