yeah that is what i want to know... im goin to keep my stock rims and replace the tires.. i was planning to go with nittos or khomos 195/55-16 or 205/55- 16
Our car comes with Michi's 195/60's
Obviously we all know they handle like shit...
What size do you think works best with our car?

I just got a set of the 16" Honda Factory Performance wheels :p for my 02 Si and I'm wrapping them in 205/50/16 Bridgestone Potenza S-03s.
I have the S-03s on my 00 Si and I love them. When driving in the rain it is just like it's dry outside. There is just AWESOME traction. So I had to get a set for my EP also. They're a little spendy ($128/tire) and they don't have the best tread life (I hear you have to replace them after about 12-15K), but it is worth it to have the extra performance and quality when driving in the rain or for better handling altogether.
I highly recommend them to anyone looking to get new tires for their car.;)
I put the phat in Ephatch.
u mean 195/55-15 or 205/55-15. our stock wheels are 15 inch. so i would recomend staying at the 60 series tire. this will keep the tire diameter the same.Originally posted by 02CivicSI-VTEC

205/55-15 work really well. The total height is only about 1/2" less than stock, or about 1.5%. Not enough to notice either visually or while driving.
i kinda like 195/55 because it make my car look alittle lower, but my gap is widen. when i slap my stock rim on my friend LS that shit raise his car pretty high and his car was slammed
If you decide to go with 16" wheels, I can heartily recommend the Falken Azenis in 215-45-16. You will be surprised how close these come to R-compound tyres.
In consequence of this, of course, they're not much use in winter weather.
its actually 3/10" less than stock.very little difference.Originally posted by bobdobbs

My bad, you're right. It's about a third of an inch, not a half. Insignificant.Originally posted by civic hatch boi

Toyo T1S.
My buddy has used a lot of tires, they are the best in his eyes. I trust his opinion as he has done a ton of racing and has a lot of track time.
They hold up on the track, and the street.
His Azenis(Falken) and bridgestones fell apart.
Kuhmo and everything is is pretty much crap in his eyes.
so is it good for me to go with stock rims with 195-55??
so what kinds of tires should i get????? i need some pretty good performance tires that grip and for a good deal .. im looking about $55-75 per tires....
How did you get your hands on them, hopefully you didn't sell your first child.;)Originally posted by StoopSi

195/55-15 is too small, 3% smaller than stock. Go with either 195/60 or 205/55.
As for specific tire recommendation, you should rank the following in order of importance:
-- Dry grip
-- Wet grip
-- Snow grip
-- Long life
-- Low noise
-- Ride comfort
-- Price
There is no one "BEST" tire. All tires have trade-offs and it's up to you to decide what's important. What's your ranking?

Could you possibly take a second to elaborate on that? That's the first I've heard of anything like that.Originally posted by Puffs
His Azenis(Falken)...fell apart.
When we first started using Azenis as a hybrid compound (and rain tyre), we were surprised how they could be driven full tread depth at all kinds of temperatures on the track without chunking.
I'd appreciate knowing exactly what you mean.
