I wouldn't worry about it too much... Those stock tires only last for a year anyway...

It looks like the tires are covered in clear coat, but since you stated you didnt use it, you probably just shined them up before the pics. Looks great, post some pics ASAP :m:

Another motion for pics once they are on the car. I've been thinking
about keeping the stock rims and just getting better tires, no real
reason not to, unless I go lightweight/bigger brakes, and this seems
    like a cool idea.
What I'm curious about is how the paint will hold up - you'll have to
keep us updated as to if they start chipping or the paint just doesn't
    hold up.

I like them a lot. Would you mind sharing the brands of the primer and paint product that you used? Did you sand/sandblas them or use some stripper? I need answers cuz I'm doing mine the instant I throw my snow set on my SI and free my stock rims. But I like black more...I think...no, I like them bronze too...also gunmetal...

can one of you choppers post consecutive chops of black EP w/ these colors??:(

can you ask you're friend what the name of the brand paint he used, not the color, but the brand. And how many coats...sorry for all the questions, but I wouldn't mind screwing with mine and painting them gunmetal.

I painted mine and they came out great. I have Silver w/ Gunmetal wheels, CF Hood, and CF Wing...it looks GREAT..i get compliments all the time. Just make sure u do the prep work right. U wouldnt want the wheels to start chipping or peeling after a few months or so. I couldnt imagine how Good your car will look with your rims gunmetal....here is a picture of my friends car who painted his wheels dark. They were silver. Kinda far away but u get the idea..y a know?
