Will spray paint come off? Is there a better way to make the stock rims bronze, cuz that's given me this warm fuzzy feeling in my pants.

powdercoating would be the best bet. I think there are a few place in houston, not sure where though

Yeah I agree with the powdercoating. It's expensive though, so you better really like your rims. ^_^

you did a great job painting them, looks great, wonder if you should have clear coated them for protection, particularly against brake dust, I think they would hold up better with a couple coats of clear, you can get that in a spray application too.

the colour looks more gold to me than bronze, I kinda think of bronze as darker and more subtle looking, I've got some bronze Rota rims on my silver ep.

:p IMHO, looks like a Walmart Scooby knockoff... but whatever floats your boat, however. I don't think the rims look bad in black if prepped correctly.

    Just a few questions,
    1) after applying the base primer coat, isnt it best to sand it down lightly? To give the next coat something to stick to?
    2) when you're done with the last coat of paint and you say to use 1300 to sand it down one last time before you buff, is it best to wet sand it?

*side note - ooo theres a lizard on my window, how nifty.

Hmm looks like those tommy kaira WRX rims. I like em, it's just too bad that powdercoating them doesn't add 2 inches on to them as well. While this may be almost free, ill still prolly hold out for some C-8's or 17" bling bling look alikes and keep my stock 15s w/ grippy rubber for dry track days. Actually if im gonna keep em....hmm....

I may just do this to my wheels after I buy some Bronze Circuit-8s and then use the Bronze stockies for winter tires!
