I did this install on my car awhile back. then helped a buddy. dropped a few pieces the on the 2nd install. I just reached in from behind till I found them all. YOU CAN REACH EVERYTHING if your patient and feel around long enough.

heheh, if we're thinking of the same tray, then yes. I dropped it twice and found it in some kind of scoop tray thing.

I find that hard to believe but I guess if it happend to you it can happen. is the tray your talking about a like a lil black cup? I dont have very big arms so I could really reach everything from 1 angle or another.

The key is to take your time so you dont drop parts.:D

    I just did mine today,

(Not to steal your thunder there Raiyo)
    My recomendations:

-remove the Stereo cluster, gives you more room to work.

    - Remove that small Metal bar that crosses
    (Needs philips head for that)

    - Push the metal sleeve out of the rubber bushing, don't try to pull it, I learned that the hard way.

    - - - -

Aside from that, I felt a change, the shifter literally felt tight, and it seems to go into gear a lil easier. I lost alot of play in the shifter, very nice for a 13 dollar mod.

I recommend it to all. Especially those of you having shiter probs, It feels alot easier to get into gear.

I just did mine. I was trying to get the last two bushings in, and I dropped one. I found it, but ended up pushing it farther into the console. I was so pissed cause I just couldn't find it anymore. So I just left one corner w/out one bushing. Hopefully when I drive around, it'll roll back out or something. IMO, I felt a slight difference. It does feel more solid when shifting. But if I was to do it again, I would say no.

You could remove the floor center console to find the missing peice. Check out my DIY Cig lighter, it tells you how to remove the console.

use a torque wrench. But I didn't use one, did it while I was on my break during work. I used used a socket wrench and tighten it down.

I got my neuspeed ss from ebay seller ASW88, best price and really fast shipping, you'll figure out the shift bushings once your in there doing the SS, plus it comes with a decent how to.

Yeah, trying to stick the ratchet in the hole is too hard. Remove the stereo cluster and bar and use an extension.
