    Painting brakes

I need some help guys, I want to paint my brakes but I'm not to sure what color would look nice on a Satin Silver Ep, As of right now I'm running stock wheels but I plan on getting some gunmetal Konigs.

    Thanks,
    Ace

If I was gonna do my brakes, I'd go for red. That could be to flashy, but I got a thing for red. My other choice of color would be silver, matches up with the body. If it ends up not looking good, at least it doesn't bug you. If you was gonna paint it, might was well put some color on it right? Doing silver kinda looks like you didn't do anything. If others don't own a EP, they wouldn't realize you did anything.

Try to work with the same color you have on your car right now. If your body is silver, interior is black with a touch of red, blue seat belt cover, tons of yellow lights, then why get a green brake caps? Go with the colors you have now. To many colors means no good. Just my thoughts.

LilJosh I stay in Lake Charles. As far as I know there are like 2 ep's in our area right now. I go through BR alot maybe one day I'll have to look you up when I'm there.

Oh and thaks for the feedback, I might go with red.

blue is the only color other than black and silver that I would use on a silver ep. Red just doesnt do it for me on a silver car. Just my .02

I thought about painting the brakes of my silver Civic as well.

First I wanted to use red but after having seen a silver EP with red brakes I definitely will go for black or silver. ;)

Hey hey hey. Did you take out the calipers to paint em or was it still on your ride? I wanna do it, but I dont want any overspray on my car.

seeing another ADR C-Pro making me think so glad I didn't get one, heheh. So many people got em. They look good, don't get me wrong, was gonna get that, but decided to get something different.

I didnt take out calipers to do that. I bought VHT caliper paint at local auto shop. Found little plastic cup and spray in there. and used paint brush to paint brake calipers. many coats to make it shiny. turned out great. Couple reasons i used that method, I didnt want to mask rotor, brakes or body. and I was too lazy to take out calipers. You can do it either way. Up to you.

and yea . Many people has c pros. But noone has these wheels and new si in my town , so i am safe

I was gonna post a pic but my car looks very similar to Civicvtec1ps. Red with a dark wheel (gunmetal or flat black)looks sweeet. I used a FoliaTec kit that does not require you to remove your rotors. One piece of advice, if you are not going to remove then CLEAN THEM. I de-greased, sanded, degreaed the shit out of em. I had rust beginning to form, so this made this process long and slow. Take your time, the finished product is worth it.
