The Ebay Test Pipe, box was beat to hell and back. I didn't think UPS or FEDEX ran today, being a holiday. Anywhooooo. VETERANS DAY TO ALL!!!!
Take the Cat out, remove the heat shield cover, remove the O2 sensors and DON'T touch bottom part that enters the cat. Use alotta Penetrator fluid to help break any stuck bolts and nuts.

Plug the holes in old cat with towels or paper towels, for later reinstallment (for the people who live in emmissions areas)
They made it smart, you can only see the sensor #1 sticking out in the pipe. The same way I was gonna do if sensor #2 was pertruding. They did it right, give less readings for sensor #2 to simulate a cat. Like I said before, it's just a straight thru resonator.;)
Red RTV'd the header doughnut
Left over RTV from original cat
Wire brush cleaned it
Only had one problem with it, the hanger bar was hitting the subframe. So you will have to get some big channel locks and bend it back some.

Over all its give the same position as the original cat.
Exhaust sound is slightly louder.
Butt dyno gives it two cheeks up!
Felt alittle more power!
No CEL light yet, will keep you posted.

the CEL situation - I think fsugatorbait has one of these on the way
as well, will be interesting to see if it's exactly the same piece
and if it also does not immediately trigger a CEL.
One question, though, bio - do you think the hanger problem has anything
to do with the fact you have a different motor (can't remember what
headers you have) - was wondering if that might fit better on our A3's.

Now the price is raised because of demand/popularity, well looks like others have raised their prices lol.
Hanger problem, I think is hanger/weld placement. I have A2, but I'm using an A3 DC ceramic header. Also it clears my aftermarket swaybar (plenty of room).
Forgot to weight it, but it felt like it was 3-8lbs lighter also. Someone who gets it, weight it, and post it. TIA!
