    Lightbulb Headlights and Taillights

Hey lastnight I got bored and swapped out my sidemarker amber bulbs with my headlight running lights.

    Before/After

    This is my setup:
Headlights: Nokya Arctic White H4 Bulbs
    Running Lights: Amber Wedge Bulbs
    Sidemarkers: Nokya HyperWhite Wedge Bulbs

I also removed the bulbs from my bumper reflectors so they don't light up.

There are a few other ideas I would like to throw out.

1: Swap the two wires on your sidemarkers, so they are always running with the lights on, and shutoff when the turnsignal is activated (they work the opposite way).

2: Swapping your brakelight and turnsignal housings, so your turnsignal circle is your driving/brake lights and your brakelight line is your turnsignal, (tried to do it but bulbs won't swap, you'd have to cut and splice the wires somehow or get a new socket all together).

3: Place a bulb into the vacant housing in your taillights, if anyone has investigated the rear of their taillights you would have found there is an empty spot for a lightbulb, I'm not sure but I think the Type-R uses this little housing for turnsignal, here is a pic:

Thats some crazy stuff you got going on there. Pretty cool, though. I've got some Hipers for the H4's and Polarg 196's for the running lights, and looks *awesome*. I'm not so keen on keeping the side-markers always on, but hey, if you like it. :)

And you put a bulb in something that isn't hooked up? or was there a socket for it? now it lights up??

after reading what u wrote on the missing housing part

i am going to buy the OEM fogs
and than run the "euro fog" bulb in the back so that when the fogs are triggered it lights that socket

    thanks for the tip down!

Have you actually done this, or you're just throwing out ideas? I don't get it, the sidemarkers (i'm assuming you mean the one on the fender next to the door) uses type 168 bulbs. These wedge bulbs work on both polarities, so how can simply swapping the two wires make them stay on all the time, shouldn't it have not made any diference?

I've tried this mod over a month ago on my friend's Si using another principle but came up empty handed. That futile 1 hour attemp involving different tatics has led me to believe that this mod was useless and impossible--this biotch's eletrical system was just too weird!. I'm tearing my friend's car apart and getting to the bottom of this. :D

and Yes, gotta go with Pradamuimui (what kind of name is this, sounds southeast asian (?)) on this one, I installed a pair of PIAA H4's on my friend's car and it's badazz! Up close it's no whiter than a conventional halogen, just brighter. The farther you step away the more noticable it becomes and the whiter it gets. From far away it almost looked like the HID on my car! The Nokya artic white has a faint look to it. If you're getting headlight bulbs, go PIAA.
