DVD Audio

If I get a DVD HU for the car, can I burn a DVD full of uncompressed songs and play it like a CD?

From what I've read, I don't think it's meant to be used that way...I think the main purpose is to play store-bought DVD audio disks for the superior sound quality, 5.1 encoding, etc.

Also, I don't think you can buy any old DVD head unit (like one for video). It has to specifically support DVD audio, if I remember correctly.

Don't take any of this as fact, but it's what I remember from memory.
