is there a reason why it was so "loose" in the first place?
this is insanely easy for those of you longing for better burnouts
JUST tightened ebrake.
tools:
phillips head screwdriver
flathead screwdriver
12mm wrench
its pretty easy. just unscrew the 2 screws at the back of the center console, pop it off with a flathead. tighten the brake with the 12 mm.
i reccomend taking your car to an empty lot for testing.

not that i can think of.. before i could pull it up the whole way and the car would barely slow down. now the rear will actually lock. i was guessing if i had that problem, maybe someone else would too

how can you tell if its too tight. after i adjusted i rolled back and forth and it seemed like nothing was rubbing.
Ijust hope after new brake pads it wont be rubbing.
if you hold the button down and pull up you can feel when it grabs.
or at least i can.
or if you part your car on a hill and you dont need the brake...
then its too tight! :D
Nice.
I've always thought that the e brake was not tight enough, since it would not lock up the wheels, at least in the dry. Looks pretty easy to adjust. I'm definitely going to tighten mine up a bit.
thanx alot for the pics!!!!
i tightened mine up so it locks at about 80`. it could prolly be tighter, but b4 i noticed that my wasnt doin the "ebrake" thingy, and i was a little worried honestly, cuz its called the "emergency brake" but it wouldnt do much emergency braking.. lol
hi i had that problem too...but my tech guy said to just keep pulling and releasing the e-brake and you'll feel the tension rebuild in the e-brake...

Nice. Did this yesterday, works great. Good thread:D
I am not mechanically inclind, so can somebody draw an arrow on those pics on which bolt to tighten? Also, if you would say torque it, what setting would you use?
