looks nice.. good write up
First of all let me say I am a lighting freak, the brighter the better. I have crappy night vision so the more I can see, the better so that was my reasoning for this mod. This kit will relay both your high and low beam lights.
harness: I got the harness from suvlights.com, $53 shipped. Excellent quality wiring and Bosch relays, highly recommeded unless you have the stuff available to you then you can make one yourself.
tools needed: 10mm socket
10mm wrench
a couple of extensions
socket wrench
flathead screwdriver
install the drivers side ground to the same location as the battery ground
run your wires according, I ran them around the battery so I could keep them hidden.
pop the four clips holding the top of the bumper (I used a flat head to do this) and pull up and away so you can see the radiator. I ran the long part of the harness here to keep it hidden and out of sight.
install the passenger side ground to the factory location
button the front bumper back up and connect all you plugs. this harness has a nice plug the accepts the factory plug, no wire splicing, bonus.
last but not least, hook up the two power wires
test both high and low beams and enjoy new found lighting power that you didn't have before. you can also now run higher wattage bulbs without the risk of frying any factory wiring.

Nice write up. Do you think you can run 100watts headlight bulbs? I currently running stock wattages.55w but i was hoping to get brighter lighting view. I wish stock ep came with hid conversion. :(

how to section.
nice... i always wanted brighter headlights. i dunno if i'm gonna get some or not. hardly noticeable if u dont park your car side by side with another ep. brighter is better for me, i can't see pot holes are night to well.
are those stock bulbs u using?

I am using stock wattage sylvania silverstars so the difference is not that dramatic as it would be with stock bulbs. Ad far as wattage, I wouldn't recommend 100 watts for low beam usage, that s a little execessive, you should be just fine with an 80 watt.
does the harness come with the bosch relay? or did you purchase the bosch relay seperate? i just installed piaa super extremez headlights and also changed parking lights. i am happy with the brighter white lights. would this harness benefit me, would my lights get brighter? also would this purchase for $53 be worth it?

The harness comes complete, ready to install, no additional parts needed. If you look at the cheesy wiring your headlights have now, you won't think twice about replacing it.
nice and easy lookin mod, i may have to get a set for my headlights and for my foglights. nice DIY also :)
i definatly am interested in doing this, well after i get my credit card bill :p hehe
Great write up! Added it to my site.

Great mod for the $$!!!

if you install the harness would it decrease the life of your bulbs? like increase the rate of them burning out? just need to know for future reference.
Nope, doesn't effect bulb life at all. It just uses the full potential of the bulb.Originally posted by Si_Rider
