    System in the Ep

I put a system in my EP a few weeks ago. They include the following-
    Pioneer head unit
Rockford Fosgate 250*2 for the subs
Eclipse five channel for the highs
    and two JL 10W3s
The factory speakers don't sound that bad when you hook them to an amp or the head unit. I was pleasently surprised. I had always heard that the speakers were terrible and stuff so I was glad that for right now I don't have to upgrade them. Oh by the way is anyone else going to Nopi. I have a silver Ep with some stuff and I entered it.

Not yet. My scanners broke. It's great though I pull up at our little races bumpin my system (lol) and pop the hood and then tell everyone I have a type r motor swap ( the type r vc and the intake manifold cover ). No one around here knows where the engine code is. Then I tell them I'm kidding.

I'll be at SLOPI with the we-todd-did boys...

Look for a bunch of drunks with hype R's and a white EP, I'll be wearing a Dr. Seuss hat.

Cool, 3rdHatch. What kit did you use for the HU? Did you paint it?

I put in a Premier DEH-840MP with a Scosche 2001 kit Dremelled and painted silver. I have a new JBL BP1200.1 and a JBLP180.2 sitting in my room on my A-shaped box that is waiting for two of the new Elemental Designs K-series 12s which should ship in the next day or two. They'll each get 600w RMS and fire right at the glass. I won't be able to get component speakers for a month or so I was debating whether or not to put in the P180.2 to drive the front speakers or not. The stock speakers sound a lot better now that they are getting 26w RMS or so with the new HU but I am weary of giving them too much juice.

A couple questions: how much power are you giving the stock speakers from that amp? Also, where did you mount your amps and run your wires? I may put mine under the seats. Oh, and how's the rattle situation with the subs kickin'?

I'm glad someone else is getting some quality sound in their 2k2Si.

I'm not really sure what kind of power I'm running right now on the highs. The hu dash kit that i got didn't fit (Metra) so for right now it's just sitting in there. The amps are mounted to the backs of the seats. Looks very clean that way. Where did you run your power wire. I ran mine all the way behind the engine and had to squeeze my 4 gauge through a hole in the passenger side.

Eclipse makes a great amplifier, lots of high quality components r used inside its rather plain exterior.I sell alot of em everyday just on their sound quality. A great amp. The W3 subs have alot of potential too. Pioneer is known for great FM tuners and alot of features. I am sure you will enjoy the setup!
