What are good choices in brands? i tried to run a search but they dont allow less than 3 characters
would 205-50-15 be a lil too small?:)

The 205-55-15 stands a bit wider and shorter. In my opinion, a taller and narrower tire would look better than the 205-55-15.

Stay with the 195-60-15 or get bigger rims, which our cars die for anyway.

205-50-15 is a tire you would want to put on an older Civic, you have an EP dont you?

Bridgestone S03 and Yoko ES100 are the faves in that size for ultra high-performance summer tires. If you want something all-season, Continental ContiExtremeContacts are excellent.

If you want something that will last long, I would stay with the stock Michelin's. I agree that they arent the cheapest tires but they give a good quiet ride.

If you want a tire thats really going to perform, be sure to exclude the Yokohama ES100. These tires break loose more often than they should. They only last up to ~18K miles if you drive easy and have your alignments within spec.

For overall performance INCLUDING wet conditions (in order), the Bridgestone S03, Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3, and the Bridgestone RE750/RE950

I run 205/55 front and 195/55 rear on stockies and really like it. They are kuhmo 712's, I bought them because I've had good luck with them in the past and they arent to pricy.

where in tx are you.. i take it you dont roatate your tires ?

Normally you would rotate your tires every X miles.

I used to have Yoko ES100s and they worked great. I push my car to the limit all the time. THe tires only lasted me 3000 miles, but are so much better than the stock Michelins or the POS rain tires I have now.

95GSR runs 215/45/15 front and 195/60/15 rear for canyon runs. It helps the car rotate much easier. Late brake and pitch the car into a tight turn and feel the rear try to come around on you. :D

I rotate my tires just side to side not front to back. The 205 in front and 195 in rear makes the car feel more neutral.

Ummmm... Kumho 712s are directional. Do you actually remove them from the rim when you rotate?

YES, if you get directional keep them pointing foward. I just swap them side to side but you have to take them off and re-mount and balance them.

Sounds like a pain in the ass to me. The money you spend taking them off, putting them back on and balancing them might not be worth it in the long run...
