    Yeah I'm a nOOb but....

Could someone possibly explain the difference between like eibach spring kits, which are fairly cheap and these coil-over things I've seen for like 800+ ?

As in what IS a coilover and how is it so much better to justify the steep price?

Even a link would do hehe.

real coilovers come with shocks and the height is adjustable. they are better.

then there are coilover kits which do not come with a shock assembly, but are still adjustable. check out http://www.ground-control.com/

if you want adjustibility with shock assembly go with a full coilover kit.

if you want just the adjustability and want to be able to choose your shocks, for example you really like the kyb agx's or whatever then get just the coilovers you can get from ground control or skunk or whatever.

if you dont want the adjustability then just get some eibachs.

note: ground control uses eibach springs on their coilovers.
