New tires and Rims ,Please advise

I am ready to order a new set of wheels This is what I have picked out:

Rota circuit 8's +40mm Offset( claimed 15 lbs)
Yokohama EVS es100 225-50-16 (weight unknown)

    My Questions are,

Are 225'd just too damm wide ? as to effect my handling?

Will this combo fit on my car without rubbing or other problems?,(not Lowered)

Will this combo be be heavier Then the stock wheel and tire Combo?

    Any help would be great

I have been searching so much my eyes are bleeding

    Thanks

I think there's a couple people that have fit 225's on their car.
I know B18CXr (might have spelled that wrong) is one of them. I know
I just saw that thread not that long ago, but maybe I had found it
    in a search.

The C8's and Yoko's should be lighter than the stock rims. I'd guess
the stock rims/tires are over 40 pounds apiece and I'd bet your
rota's will come in just under that. But what do I know, I haven't
    weighed them, heh.

    Cool

225 might be a bit wide... Think of it this way: they use 225's in the British Touring Car Championships!!! That car is vastly modified. Do you really think you need to go that wide. Bridgestone makes some great rubber in the 215/45/16 range. Check out Tirerack.
