What about that acura shifter adapter?

I've looked everywhere but don't think that is still available.

There was a Home Depot DIY shift boot adaptor here before the crash. Anyone know how to do it?

i dont understand... i thought this was the alternative to buying the adapter.

i've read somewhere about people just go and buying some rubber piece at lowes or whatever and putting it underneath the boot to hold it up. sounds good to me.

Was it rubber? The one I've read was some kinda of plastic-ish piece that is used for plumbing or something. It was black and had a power-coat texture. It looked real nice.

I just went to ace hardware and bought a spring about 6 inches long and just big enough to fit over the shaft. I installed it under the boot so it holds the whole assembly up nice and oem looking. I used the usdm boot and an after market knob.
