Sorry I thought you meant his setup was on a short list of people or companies that have achieved that level of power on stock internals. I was kinda asking if anyone else has legitimately shown they have achieved this level on stock motor.
No, I am considering quite a few. I want what looks good but also works well with my unique setup. I like what you have done with the stock setup, but I have a couple of more challenging tuning issues. I will be deciding soon and am just waiting on the programmable ECU first. Your kit is definitely a notch above others.;)I'm not sure and I'm not being a wiseass, but isn't he the only guy on that short list you speak of? I mean the list that says stock EP3 engine 300whp?

Answer: Yes, you stand alone for building the most power on the stock EP internals.
Question: What would you say about what I have and how would you make this work well?

okay..sounds good...here is my question....how long will this run on stock interenals.....i mean they have to be under tremendous stress. Has anyhting been tested to approx. life and stress of the internals?
I think that with 9.8psi you would see similar results on the car with a number of turbo setups. The meth mist helps somewhat as well here. I have not seen anyone else post that high a PSI, so this is the real reason behind the numbers. They are definitely pushing the envelope.
For a question like that, there is no simple answer. Mybe today, mybe tomorrow, mybe never. Who really knows, if it gives, it gives :DOriginally posted by Sleeper Style

You are right. If it goes we will build it. Based on what we know about turbocharging, tuning, and aquamist, we think it will last for a long time. Remember it's more detonation that kills rods and pistons than HP. Sure enough HP will kill them but we will see.
I guess SFP and Most-Wanted are going where No Man has Gone Before... (Cue the Star Trek soundtrack ;) LOL) Beam me up Scotty... never mind.
not sure where the 8200 came from either...but the dyno shows about 7500rpms...which should be accurateOriginally posted by TheMutt
Raised the rev limit to 8200?!?!
Are you sure, or are you just going by the tach? The factory tach is inaccurate once you get that high, maybe you're mistaken? Iono, it just seems kinda overkill to raise the revlimit that high.
oh, yes, that car does sound mean!
SFPracing, are you saying this close to 300whp beast is running aquamist? If that is true, 300hp is easy...
Don't try and dull this down so much LordKoo...
I mean come on this is the first k20a3 I've heard of with 300hp.
wtf this kit pwns all others...wow...i know what i am saving up for!

My bad. The Hondata re-flash is for 8200 but we are cutting it off at 7500. I am building another block and head and didn't want to send the ECU out again. This way it is already to go when I get to that point. I am in no rush at this time and just want to enjoy it for a while.
by the way mostwanted...what kind of bov is that?
