Exclamation Okay who has not had an issue with the sway endlinks?

I'm about to do a rear sway install but don't want to start it if the allen head stud will strip like a 2 dollar hooker. Who has not had a problem with proper pre-spraying of liquid wrench and having all the correct tools. Thanks

I had no problems when inserting the allen wrench to take off the sway. Make sure it is in there well, then spray WD-40 on the threads. Also gentle start to turn the nut, should come off fine. I wouldn't spray anything into the hole for the allen wrench.

It's not a problem with the spray lubricant and a good set of tools (long reach allen keys).

Make sure you use the correct metric hex key instead of SAE, then you wont mess up anything.

Okay after my ss install today in my cousins garage I soaked the end link nuts down with liquid wrench and am letting them sit over night. I'm going to first use a 14mm deep socket and a breaker bar to free the nuts then go from there with the allen wrench. I'll post pics when I'm done with the install.(hopefully) ;)

No problem at all. BTW, WD40 is probably the worst lubricant on the planet. Do yourself a favor and get a high-quality penetrant.

if they strip just get some needle nose vice grips, and grab the endlink on the back side of the sway. where the big ring washer is . that worked great for me.
