its pretty embarrassing too driving around in a nice car everyone looking at you and then all of a sudden "DUMBASS" cant even shift right
i have the tranny problem really bad i cant even shift into reverse sometimes
3 4 and 5 are all ok for me
but 1st 2nd and reverse are messed up bad

We all have the same problems some more than others ! I grind into 2nd when shifting and sometimes I have a problem with reverse :'( ! ..............(I think as a good gesture by honda they should sell all of us the type R 6 speed for the cost of shipping to our doors and we can call it a day !) what do you think ? :D

Yeah I posted to the petition some time ago, and I still have to ask: they bring back the Si...knowing full well its going to get used for tuning, and aggressive driving yet they give it a shitty set of stock tires, a roley suspension and a tranny that acts up for even the most tame of drivers? I have to ask...wtf lol

I came back to this thread because my car reminded me of it last night. Sitting at a light where the lanes merge about 100 yards ahead. I wanted to be sure to pass this slow ass caddy driven by a very old woman. Light goes green, I pull out. I am not even being hard on the gas because she was going slow enough that I could easily pass her before the merge.

First to Second, ok....Second to Third ZZSSSSSKKKKRRRRIIIIITCHHHH......The goddamn thing catches and grinds as I am casually shifting. I've owned 3 hondas now, this being #3. Steadily losing faith in honda, especially after I hear how much shit they are giving people about it when it goes in for repairs.

Ya know...I just noticed this on my car. I got it a week ago and it only has 300 miles on it. Particularly the 1-2 shift. I want to take it in but are they actually going to do anything about this? I would hope so

I mentioned this to a rep at a local Honda dealer who has a taffeta ep3 and all she said was, "it's an econo-car with an econo-car transmission, what do you expect." I certainly hope this is not what we can expect from honda...
