All dynos are not created equal.

Most of us know that you generally get higher HP and TQ numbers from a Dynojet Dynamometer than you do from a Mustang Dynamometer. What is rarely discussed is "why" and which one is more accurate. I've been doing some research and planned on posting my findings here. However, I found an article from Chevy High Performance that summed up my findings, so I decided to post it here instead of writing my own. This article is also found on the Mustang Dyno website. HERE is a link to Dynojet's website.

    HERE is the article!

Sorry it applys to domestics! It's the nature of the article that counts.

Same here mang. So many factors go into reading correctly, so I would love to dyno on all kinds. That way when someone asks me, I will just pull out a folder :D

This is why some people with similar mods have different #'s. I think that generally Dynojet's give higher readings. There is a shop about 20 min from my house the has a brand new Mustang Dyno. I need to go check it out. It's $100 per hr.(tuning not included) Which isn't too bad....i guess? I just want to put it on the dyno to see what kinda #'s it puts down.
