Angry My rant about the CTR rebar.

I tried to install my CTR kit this weekend and the fucking rear bumper wouldn't go on with the reinforcement bar I got from showstoppers. Why is it that they didn't mention this to me when I ordered it? So now after paying like $130 for the rebar I have to get it modified to fit where it's suppose to...FUCK! So to all of you trying to get the CTR kit, just remember that the rear rebar doesn't fit where you think it does. ShowStoppers said it's suppose to be screwed to the body of the car (no protection at all) not the original supports....FUCK!

    abstrack:
Yes the front bar does fit perfect.

    civicSIracer:
I couldn't return it, because I drilled two holes expecting it to fit fine.

    SuperRacerTypeR:
It fit on their car, because they drilled it to the body not the place where the usdm bar went.

this is the price we pay to use JDM stuff on an USDM car.

The rebar fits if you drill the holes out properly. I just moddified mine to sit a little higher and fastened it in. A bitch yes... but im used to this when it comes to anything not meant for the US market.

oh by the way i have a JDM front rebar for sale if anyone is interested. cant use it with the intercooler.

Listen to beansbear being one of the first to install that rear rebar. It has to be drilled into the body of the car and a bit higher becuase thats where the JDM civic rear rebars sit. It does offer A LOT of protection when on. Designs of the US bumpers just allowed our rebar to stick out more and sit lower...

Yep, better to have it there than nothing at all.
I just dunno what to do about my front. I guess the intercooler piping will protect somewhat hahah.

    *sigh*
