This has sorta been covered, basically since the drop is only an 1". The shocks will last much longer than other drops. Granted nothing lasts forever, also not the same for everyone. So they might last much longer for others than you and other way around. I and many like me are at a 2" drop and stock shocks. When you lower the car you should just prepare for buying new shocks if you are worried about the ride.

You could do a search on shocks, Eibach, Pro-kit, etc. To get more information.

I have 25K miles on my car now. I had the pro-kit since 5K miles and it still rides great. I would expect my shocks to last me untill 45-55K miles. My bro has tiens on his EP and hios shocks are blown. He put maybe 10K miles on them.

Been running them for near a year and no problems, have gone from stockies to 225/45/17's to sockies and 235/40/17 and no problems whatsoever.

I have hit some serious pot holes with these and they seem to rub slightly, I hear the sound on the rear fenders. However I do not notice any marks or damage. The rear is what I am concerned with and it just touches. I am more affraid of cutting a tire. I will roll up the inside edges of the rear fenders soon. I really like the cornerning ability over the 225's. Launching on dry is definitely better. I was also worried that in hard corners I would start to rub in the front, but nothing yet. Prokit's seem to be holding very well and the ride in incredibly smoother than stock.
