Nitrous on stock airbox?

Can it be done on our cars, and is it okay or is it best to have wither a ram or cai intake. The reason I ask is because I want to go back to my stock airbox, but I'm not sure if it is bad to do performance wise. Would I lose much power if I was able to use stock airbox with nitrous compared to an aftermarket intake with spray?

The amount of hp will not vary with either a cai or stock. If your running a 50 shot on it then 50hp or better is what you'll get. The only difference in preformance is the HP the aftermarket intake would add. Running nitrous on a stock airbox is no diffrent than on a cai. If you follow the installation instructions and use it in moderation, you'll be fine.

Our car uses Wet nitrous systems only, not dry. You spray straight through the injectors, not into the intake.

Not true.

You have 3 options with wet kits:
1) In the intake. Fuel and N2O are sprayed at the same time.
2) Direct Port. Drill holes in the intake runners and mount your jets.
3) With the new "piggy back" kits that mount with the injectors and spray from there. Not sure if there's a kit for our car just yet.

CAI, SRI, or stock box...doesn't matter.

2 and 3 back my statement. LOL. sorry, didnt realize a wet system could spray into the intake.

The edlebrock is direct port.... Ive seen that install.

Actually, when the programable Hondata comes out we will be able to run a dry kit, because of the ability to adjust the injectors while spraying. I'll still run a wet kit on my car for the extra insurance. Most of your basic wet kits(N/X, Edlebrock, NOS)are single intake. The direct port can get expensive and it's good to have a pro tap the manifold, bend the lines and install the nozzles.
