    What gas octane?

    How high of octane do ya'll use? Does it matter on ours?
    Ive been using 93 highoctane. I dont know if thats bad or good?
    Any input will be appreciated. Thanks. Peace:)

    93??!!

    yikes you folks get poor stuff.

    Here in Blighty our poor stuff is 95 and there was a big fuss when the good stuff was reduced from 98 to 97 last year. some folks even use octane booster with the 97 to get it back up again.

    I use chevron by the way, and they only offer 93 octane here.
    Im not sure if chevron with techron is good but I tried using texaco and it dropped my mpg bad.

    If I remember correctly, there are several different ways to measure Octane. Does anyone know more about the different measurements, or whether the UK uses the same one we do???

    I think the US uses R+M, I've read about the differences, but don't remember them.
