    Removing rear license plate holder?

How does it come off? Is there any way to take it off without breaking the plastic clips that hold it on?

it's been awhile, but i think all you gotta do is lift up while pulling out a little.

Do you know if the black plastic clips just pop out or will they break if I try to pry them out?

i'll go take a picture... hang on...

the plastic clips on the side are removable similar to the interior panel clips. the top metal piece stays.

basically reach behind the plastic frame thingee and use it to pull out the clips on each side then slide up and twist the frame off the top pin (it works easier if the hatch is slightly open). i put the plastic clips back-but you can do whatever.

fyi - i learned how to do this from racerdre in the lot at autobacs (or was it redrobin?)...

    uploading pics now...

super easy to do but i left the plastic rivet things in there to protect water from getting in the hatch and left the middle metal thing there as well (didnt know how to take it out) but i added some plastic bumpers (things you put under furniture) to protect my metal lisence plate frame from scratching my paint.
