well i finally got some pics of my system instal.
its not much but here it is.
it consists of Polk DB Series 6 1/2 components in the front and 6 1/2 coaxes the rear. all running off of a 4 x 85 soundstream edge series amp.
this is the passive crossover in the driver door.
wires with the Mid in driver door.
wires were taped on the highs cause they all got solderd.
also notice i painted the tweeter mounts red to give the red trimmed interior some flair. :D
Mid in driver door
tweeter with the door panel back on.
Amp in the hatch. notice you cant see any wires
this is with the seat down. all nice and neatly instaled.
last shot from above the amp.
i decided to run all new streetwires 12gague speaker wire since the 18 gague stock wire is obviously way to small. all connections were solderd to insure a very good solid connection.
Yeah, very nice set-up :)Originally posted by Makross

Nice set-up, But I will never undersatnd why people would paint on the inside of their car. I think its ghetto.
why is it ghetto? all i painted was the trim ring for the tweeters. i think it looks pretty good considdering it matches with the rest of the red trimmed interior.Originally posted by Z26

You must be right! Of couse that tacky red paint matches the otherwise very nice interior. That red paint ruins a pretty good install for your audio. When you get a little older you will understand and if you are a little older, I am sorry.....:'(
i think the red looks good as long as the paint doesnt fade or flake in the future. nice install :)
yea im a little older tham most on here im sure.Originally posted by Z26

(To dj addicted) all power, ground and rca's in the car is made by audiobahn. i did have a complete audiobahn system in my ride but it got jacked. :'(

You have to be kidding me! I am 26 and even when I was 16 would have never, ever done what you or anybody with 2 dollar can of spray paint would do. To each his own.
Ugh, Z26, you do realize he painted the tweeter rings, not the entire dash and door panels right? The tweeter rings are so small, so i don't see the point at all of telling him it's ghetto. I like the way the paint looks by the way, and you did a great stereo install.
