    04' taillight on 02-03'

It is not a simple conversion...they bolt in no problem, I took off the bumper and installed myself...but there was one problem....the bulbs for reverse and signal lights and harness do not fit. The brake lamp is OK but I had to order new harnesses and bulbs to fit..why they would do this really pisses me off but it makes them more money. Let me know what you think...I think it is really stupid and my car is an 03' and in one year they had to change such a small part that really doesn't make any difference any way.

So how much work was it to convert? I have a set of 02-03 tails waiting to go on my 04. Here is a diagam that someone posted a while back.

    taillight conversion

The brake lamp (red) harness will fit..but the reverse will not..it it too small for 02-03 taillight assembly. The turn signal assembly will fit in the reverse and you will have to order a new turning light assembly. I did not order the full wire harness but had Honda wire it up for me in a "fix the problem" fashion. Hope this helps. I did not know any of this before I took off my rear bumper and took off my 03 tailights and put the bumper back on with the 04 taillight on. Once I did all of that I tried to hook up the lights and then found out the problem. Hope this works.
