The directions are in the owners manual but since I just did this I'll help you out...
First slide/push the housing towards the door of the car. Then get the edge of the housing nearest the headlights and pull straight towards you and away from the body. Once you do that, you should be able to slide/pull the clip from the part nearest the door.
To put them back in, put the part of the housing with the clip in the slot/cutout part near the door first...slide it toward the door, then push inward on the other section until it pops in!
If you have any other questions, let me know! :D

You could always unclip some of the wheel well liner that way you can directly access it from behind.

Are both of these methods discussed here used to replace the sidemarkers with DC5 sidemarkers? I talked with a friend of mine that works at a body shop and he said remove the wheel liner and the is a type of wing nut holding it in. Take that off and replace. Is that right? I thought you can just pop it in and out?

How about the running lights on the rear bumper, I have a burnt out bulb and need to fix it. Does it come off the same way as the sidemarker?

The rear side markers just pop out as well. You can get to the back side of those without unbolting or unclipping anything.

Ahh I see...so you could just pull the plug from the back rather than pop the whole rear sidemarker out? Cause I tried to pull it out and it doesn't want to go, haha.
