I haven't heard of anyone using the pulley upgrade. Some have mentioned that the CRV pulley can be used. I don't think Jackson Racing has the pulley upgrade available.

www.clubrsx.com sells one. It should fit, as both the superchargers are the same, but I'd wait until hondata has a flash for it...just like they did for the type s, it will have a 7lb pulley, map sensor relocation, 440cc injectors, and flashed ecu.

Hey denmah, did I read correct in the sense that ClubRSX gave you a good deal on the supercharger itself? If so, could you pm me the price? Thanks Mike

Go with the JR blower. The K20A3 will handle boost with a lower compression ratio (9.8:1) versus the K20A2 (11.0:1). Yes, the K20A2 will make more power because of the higher compression ratio but at a result of lower boost levels. Cost would be a big factor to consider as well. The supercharger will be installed in less than 10 hours. The swap is more complicated. Not to mention acquiring all the parts and completing the wiring. The time and money invested in the swap is far greater than the blower. Get this, if you sell the EP, it is much easier to uninstall the blower. Lastly, if the swap remains simple with modifications (ie no boost) the supercharged EP will handle the swapped ride IMO.

    Just some things to consider.

I know he already mentioned cost, but a swap will cost you at least 4500 for just the engine (and the RSX-S engine, not the type R. It's not even worth it to mentioned a type R engine cost) not including the labor. The SC will cost you 2700 at most including shipping and if I was to exagurate the laber will cost y 800. Do the math.

IMO I agree boost a k20a3 before a k20a2 swap any day its cheaper and better in the long run.

The A3 head is not built for extended revs in the 9k+ range, nor are the piston rods. Boosting the A2 or A3 head with a SC is not a problem. Less limitations and better flow boosting the A2 head, however the A3 bottom end is still a concern for high boost.

with the a2 head swap, run the a2 ecu with the swap. plus boost sounds great, but also sounds like bottom end explode with the revs and the boost.

an a3 bottom end can run up to 12psi some say 15pst (CN) without a prob but I know a couple of people with the CN turbo running 10psi with no probs at all and they are daily drivers. So the A3 can handle boost just fine. If you want the real answer ask any CN, Rev Hard, or Greedy owner here and they can tell you better then I can.
    Just my 2
