    offset?

I am a little confused about wheel offset.

Does anyone here know what the offset is for stock 2004 wheels?

Would an offset of +42, +43, +45 be okay for my 04' ep3?

thanks for any help with my noobie questions.

im not sure about the 04's but someone just told me in my thread about offset that the 02-03 wheels are 43 or 45 mm...

id say, anywhere between 40-45 would be fine, after all, 5mm is only about 1/4 inch

    45+

Anywhere between 42-45 would be prefect.

Guys, giving an offset recommendation without knowing the rim width is sorta useless. I.e., the offset on a 6.5" rim doesn't necessarily work on an 8" rim.

my bad. the rims I am looking at are 17x7.5 and 17x7...
so what actually is the offset of a wheel? the 17x7.5 wedsports I was looking at have offsets fo either +43 or +45.

I am not sure if the questions in my first post makes sense.

Does the offset of the wheel determine what tire you need? Or should the offset of a new wheel need to be the same or close to the offset of your stock wheels?

I have 17x7.5 with +45 offset and no problems.
Offset is calulated by measuring the back of the wheel hub against the middle of the wheel. It's kinda hard to explain without a diagram. Offset doesn't determine the size of the tire. The size and width if the wheel does.
