    CTR Headlights + HID Kit?

Anyone done this yet? Does it end up being too bring because of not having the little bulb protector shield thing in there? I've got my CTR headlights sittin in my living room ready to go in this weekend, and I'm thinkin of gettin an HID kit, but I'm just lookin for opinions first. Also, if anyone has infact done it, and has some good pics, I'd really appreciate it :)

Gearhead-It depends on the HID kit. The Catz HIDs I have a came with a sheild to go on the end of the bulb if the housing didnt have one. As long as you get a kit with a piece like that included you should be all set.

Why not just get the real CTR HIDs if you're going to spend the money on the plain CTR headlights and an HID kit? The real thing will work a lot better.

    You don't make sense.

There nothing fake about a phillips hid kit.

    Um, re-read my post.

Do the JDM CTR headlights not come with the required self-levelling components?

If you don't know the answer, just say so. As for the $1000 CTR HIDs, how much would you be looking at to buy non-HID CTR headlights and an aftermarket HID kit? Probably around $800. If the CTR HIDs come with the self-levelling components, they'll work a lot better and be less likely to get you pulled over. If they aren't self-levelling, then I agree about buying an aftermarket kit where you can get any color bulb that you want.

i have the JDM ctr non hid headlights with hid
and when i need to aim them i use tha basic H4 adjustments

as for the jdm hid ones

dont really know anyone who bought them.. pretty much EVER

oh and i paid under 650 for my hid + jdm headlights shipped

so 350 savings is good enough for me:D

Sorry, but self-levelling has nothing to do with aiming. Those are two seperate things.

What are you basing your statement on when you say the Catz kit sucks?

I'm running an upgraded wiring harness and overwattage bulbs right now. I'd like to get HIDs, but I want to make sure to get the right setup. I'm also holding off for a little while until the various projectors are released.
