If it has speaker level inputs, you can just tap into the speaker wires which lead to the rear speakers. That won't affect the speakers themselves, rather the amp will just be "sharing" the signal with the speakers.

Yes you do because if you are briging TWO channels , taht means BOTH channels have to have a signal.

Not to sound stupid but maybe i am. Do i have to connect the remote line. If i do what color wire is it on the back of the deck. i will be doing this soon. I bought 8 guage wire for the power and 10 gauge for the ground. i will be tapping into the rear speakers and using the input speaker level instead of the rca's. so i guess my question is do i need to use the remote wire to turn on and off if i do what color wire is it on the back of the deck. Thanks alot guys and gals

Yes you need to hook it up. If you don't your amp won't turn on. Generally it's the blue wire on the back of the deck.

Just a little fyi...you should use the same size cable for both power and ground...also if running 500-999 watts use 4 ga. or better...1000+ use 0 ga. or better...but yes you need the remote wire...be sure you use the right blue wire though...sometimes theres a power antenna wire and it's blue also...double check to be sure what you connect.
P.S. Don't ground the amp more than 18" from the amp if you didn't know and use an inline fuse or circuit breaker on the poss. 18" or less from the batt. good luck...

The power antenna wire is usually blue with a white stripe if I'm not mistaken

how do you get the power wire through the firewall? and cant you just get your remote wire by tapping into the radio fuse?

there is a factory hole ment for the foglight wiring in the driver side foot area. It is located behind the hood release and up a little bit. You have to take down the inner fender to run the wire. This is alot of work but if it is done this way you dont have to risk the oppertunity to poke something that is not ment to be poked and the fact that you are using a hole with a gromet ment for aftermarket wires. Plus this method hides all but 6 inches of the wire in the engine compartment.

Yup either way works well it really doesn't matter along as it gets to the amp. I always like using the factory gromets, but in reality it is no better then piggy-backing with other wires.

You don't have to take off the fender just all of the screws around the outside.

    :)

    Thanks for all the help...
still have a couple of questions..
Where does the power wire end up inside the car?

And, can i use the radio fuse to hook up my remote wire? I will be using a line converter output and tap the rear speakers. I have the wires from an older car.
