JDM question

How does the JDM HID work? I.E. do they have hi lo, and if so are both HID, or just the low and then an extrra bulb for the hi? I ask because it looks like the HID JDM headlights have only one bulb....

I am guessing that the 2002-2003 headlamps single bulb are that, single bulb= Hi and Low beams...

the 2004 EP3 has differnt though as you may know...
