Hey guys, I picked up my headers earlier today and am going to install them in the morning. I thought DC headers were supposed to come with a new gasket; I didn't get one. I know a few people already have them installed and was just wondering if a gasket was included with yours.

yeah, people have reused their gaskets with their header install. don't forget the one at the bottom of the header as well.
yeah, I knew that the lower gasket could be reused, wasn't about the top one though. Thanks a lot guys

It's better to get a aftermarket gasket though. Like one from Mr. Gasket. Just get it now to prevent any future leaks. Better doin it right the first time so it'll save you trouble the second time. And how much did you get your header for?

Have to say I love my new DC headers and probably will not heat sheild em. There is a slew of real estate behind each EP, you decide how to fill that up. hehe Besides the CAI would never know the diff. If it gets warm in your ride during the summer months, then in winter it feels warmer, because there is no heat sheild. I appreciate the extra heat during winter, so I really have no choice. Why mar a nice set of headers?

and no Suk02SI they did not include any gaskets in my kit either/what up? I think that the existing gaskets are sufficient, 20K is nothing. Have not noticed any blow off, or hissing, have checked it a couple of times since riding with it. No noticable leaks. sounds deeper, this weekend I will be removing the resonator section, from the cat flange to the muff flange. In goes a straight pipe mandrel bent to oversized (2-1/2 inches.) no more resonator.

I just finished installing mine. Went together pretty nicely, only problem I ran into was removing the lower left bolt. Also, it took a few tries but the b-pipe and header wouldn't sit flush. Nice product but crappy directions.

Thanks for the pic, Suk02si, it shows how much more the centre 2 tubes stick out, compared to the stock.
By the way the O2 sensors in the cat, I did not have to remove. Had it up on a lift, in the shop. went out the top as there is no space to remove it from the bottom. I know the directions that were supplied, really don't show the whole job that is required. header bolts need to be a 32 ft-lb tourque. (wrist tight)
gaskets should be replaced.

I needed that to explain where the oil pressure sending unit is :)
