    anyone have an idea how much that might cost to import the CTR's from either england or japan? i know that to get a skyline over here its about $80,000 to $90,000 grand. i would never pay something like that to get a CTR over here. maybe the most id pay to get a CTR here is about $25,000-$30,000 max.

    The hard part isn't getting one over here, it's getting it through customs and making it street legal, which is where a lot of the cost comes from.

    The only reason you can legally drive a Skyline on the streets here is because Motorex crash did crash tests and submitted the results to NHTSA. The Type-R would not be street legal, because it has not been crash tested.

    *edit* here is the import eligibility list, http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/rules/...LIG102803.html

    Notice that the Skyline is eligibile under VCP rules. The only Civic that appears on that list is the 1989 DX.

    whoah time out

    i know having a k20a(1) would be completely awesome in our ep3s but doesnt the ctr have the k20a2

    im not trying to be a dick because i understand that if youre going to spend so much on the a2 you might as well get the itr k20a.

    but i just thought the real ctr had the k20a2

    I was under the assumption that the European CTR had the A2 while the JDM had A(something). The JDM one pumps out more power and I don't think it's also called an A2.

    k20a = integ type-r
    k20a2 = integ type-s, civic type-r
    jdms do pump out a bit more power, but consider the higher octane they run over there too

    Yeah, I'm aware of the higher octane and the different tuning that would account for that and the higher power but just remembered the debates over whether or not it's the same motor.

    It's just an option and that's the reason why our center console is so big.
