We now offer heatshield intake manifold gaskets for the k-series engines.

so much trouble for 5hp :D
i want one but how much is it?
"so much trouble for 5hp "
Actually looks pretty darn easy, nothing a socket set and some beer cant do on a saturday. And think about how much money some people spends for 5hp to the wheels --(cough cough intakes!) lol --joe :)
i have a question about this. would this cause our intake manifold to stick out a bit more with this new neat gasket as opposed to the old thin metal one? and will that affect our CAI? that thing barley fits as is, if you push out the intake manifold it will make things tight. wait a minute.... we can just get another rubber thingy that connects the CAI to the throttle body, right? someone enlighten me please.
I'm thinking I could definitely stomach this price/project for 5 lbs. of tq. and hp.
What do you think it would take to get Hondata to do it on a EP?
:o
We should consider a gift basket or some other kind of bribe....seriously, bribes work in my business all the time. Maybe some kind of fundraiser that our leader can put together, and a vote on the bribe, with a special note to the staff at Hondata.
fishboy: were talking millimeters difference in gaskets, therefore your manifold shouldnt be noticeably further out if at all when installed. The "major" difference between the 2 is the material they are made of, and their heat transfering capabilities..
Blastech:
Hondatas to do list aka punch list has the
"honda kseries RSX/SI R+D"
as being next on the list of development. we will see.
and yes bribes do work but in the form of money speaks loudest.! LOL --joe

They also have programs to where you can set the rev limiter, done the same way as above.
i used to use the msd digital 6 on my old boosted b18, it had a dual stage rev limiter that i used for staging - basically dials were set on the unit and when you activated a button (any 12 volt N.O. switch) the unit would follow the preset rev limit, then when you released the button the "normal" rev limiter would take affect. --BUT yea Hondata is the way to go! --joe
