    Custom Grill-Tech for Fog Lights

After buying a used Grill-Tech grill off the board I did some cutting and painting to get it to work with my OEM fog lights. Thought I would share the look since I think I am the first to try this. When I first got the grill it was silver so I painted to black to match better with the car. I did a satin black.

    Black

    Silver

Good job, however, why didn't you cover the fog lights too? The grill could protect the lens from cracking.

I did look into this first. When I lined up the grill there was huge gaps on all side since the grill opening gets larger the more you go out. I also would have had to build a riser or a brace for the center of the grill for suporting it. It was just a lot easyer to make the grill smaller then then to have to figure out new material and everything needed to make a larger grill.

If I can find the metal cheap enough that is close to the grill look I might try it. I will just have to use a welder to weld a metal suport across the open part and then put screws in the fog light housing to hold it.
