    Rebar options for EP3R bumper

    JDM rebar writeup.

    I am writing this because there are not really too many topics on this. If you are planning on getting the JDM bumpers then you have three choices:

    (a) You can cut into the USDM rebars thus making those rebars weaker.
    (b) You can remove the bars altogether. This is fine if you don

    Nice write up

    so you don't have to remove your headlights to install the bar...cause in your first post you made sound like you had to

    Also...so does that stock cushion just go over the JDM rebar fine?

    yes you must remove the headlights in order to reach the 14mm bolts for the front rebar. the foam pieces do not fit back on.

    can you tell me what is the benefit of doing this mod? I mean for sure not looks because it is underneath the plastic bumper.

    Performance? if so how? Why spend money on a modification like this?

    because you cant use the stock rebars with the JDM bumpers because the jdm bumpers are shorter. you can roll without any rebars but dont get in an accident ;)

    hmmmmmmmm did you put them on a scale... sizewise i would guess that JDM is a tad lighter in weight
