    What to look for in a HU

    I'm in the market for a new HU but I really don't know what I should look for in a HU so help a brotha out....:D

    you should look for a HU with mp3 capabilites. it pretty much eliminates the need for a cd changer. i'd probably recommend the alpine cda-9807... i think. i use to have one. very nice HU.

    look for a high voltage preout if youre looking to run amps in the future, and at least 3 sets of them: front, rear, and sub. detachable face if youre worried about getting your radio jacked, an internal crossover and equalizer would be nice as well. oh, also, make sure you can control xm or sirius radio and that it'll play mp3's.

    my alpine does all that, and more! ;)

    6 channel time correction, 3 way 6 position 24dB/otave xover w/ adjustable slope, downloadable sound shaping functions, 5 band parametric eq w/ adjustable "Q".... mmmm... i love it!!!!!
