i think i saw it on one of the ctr's...so that narrows it down quite a bit.

unless you have an a2 swap, it would be a lot!

    lol.....

If you're trying to hook one up to the solenoid, it's not like the SI and EX's. Our I-Vtec is pretty much always on so it'd be a waste to go through the efforts of hooking up a light to the solenoid (like other Honda owners do with the 96-00 EX's and SI's).

well you have to tap into the Vtec signal wire from the ECU, can't remember what wire it is exactly and i better not guess incase its the wrong one!

anyway, that gives a 12v signal when the Vtec switches over, so all you got to do is wire your tapped wire to a bulb and earth it.

mines to a blue led mounted to the side of a flat piece of perspex so the light goes through sideways. and I put a little Vtec sticker on it too:D

you can put the light anywhere or have as many as you like, its basically just another 12v supply which only turns on when the Vtec is on.

ahaha, yeah it is Vtec, when i type i don't think about spelling it that way, the H kinda makes it seem right for some reason. Anyway i didn't think it was going to have to involve tapping into the ECU, that kind dissappoints me. I'm not to clever with wires and electrical components. Too bad, I think it's a pretty neat gadget to have

Recognition, I like what you've done!

There was a guy in the Asia name SilverStream (?) who had a Honda Stream (with an A3) and he mentioned this:

B22 pin w/ a 330ohm resistor before the 12V LED. Tap into the yellow/green cable from the ECU.

I dont know if that's right or not but I like what recognition did so much I want to try it now.

For the A3, the light going off means you're in Econo-mode yo!

why would you want this with our Vtec?? Personally, just install a lightbulb and plug it into your cigarette lighter.. it will be on just as much as our Vtec... how many times are you actually under 3K?
