Just wondering I saw at a local shop they had caliper paint but it was a little pricey. I just would engine paint do the same job for less money?

Actually, I was going to paint my friends' Wolfsburg Jetta's calipers as well and we had decided on gold for that car. Could save a few pennies and use the same paint on the EP.

    Hmmm....Not feeling the gold.

Try picking up some VHT Caliper paint at your local Pepboys or Autozone. It's ~$8.00 for one can (all you need).

I have pics of mine painted silver (On a Silver EP as well) if you're interested.

I would like to see that. I would think they would just blend in bad.

I think painting the calipers are a waste of time and money. That's just me. I was thinking of painting it before too, but after thinking about it, doing so is to much trouble.

    Still, my choices are:
    1. red
    2. silver
    3. black
    4. stock color
    5. gold
    6. yellow

    BTW, I didnt vote.

did u remove the calipers or did it the ghetto style and spray into a cup and paint it?

keep forgetting to ask u, how did u get your rota grid without a polished lip?

Well, first off - I did not like how it looked sprayed. The thickness / consistancy just wasn't there. I tested it on a few parts I had. I ended up sanding and cleaning the rotors and calipers with brake cleaner. I brushed 2 coats on everything and it came out great. It's a little more time consuming but it goes on thicker with a brush. I wouldn't recommend the spray method IMO.

I ordered them like that :)

Using brush is SOO much better than Spraying.
    4 coats.
