i'm going to pay to paint. i have a buddy who works at a bodyshop who will prep it for me for a case of beer.. then to just paint and clear will cost me 50 more bucks if my friend says its "his"

is 50 bucks and a case paying too much?? ... the lowest quote i got was 185 bucks, the other bodyshop wanted 250!!!!

after the lip is painted and i install the GC bump stops its going to get tarped and sit at the heated shop come winter time at the farm, until my little brother gets his licence in july. dad bought the car off me for my brother.. so i have until winter to find me anoher car. been looking at FG2's, FA5's and CSX's... i think i'm gonna go back to my old roots and find a clean, unmodified EM1. i used to have one and i absolutely loved it. i made the mistake of selling it, and the kid i sold it to endoed it off an approach and made it look like a crx. split the block in half. he was safe. ejected through the sunroof.

Today i mounted the front lip, and sanded down some areas before paint. I drilled four, 1/2 inch holes in the bottom of the lip and bumper.. got my freind to get me 4 of those push in clips that are in the top of the bumper under the hood. and then on the side i just used pan head #10 wood screws and used some pieces cut from inch and a quarter PVC conduit from work, to use as backing behind the lip and bumper to get extra thread count. its not going anywhere.

its not as low of a lip as my HPF, but it worked out well, and will be easier to plow snow in winter... and because of that, it will be easier for my brother to remove and get repainted when he owns it.
