Exclamation Ephatch Newbie Bible and Forum Rules

Welcome to Ephatch.com :) The site that was made for the 2002-2004 Honda Civic SI. Which is also known as the EP3.

This site was the brain child of Down the Hatch. While using this site to bring EP enthusiasts together for our common passion. Now it is owned by Paxie a long time member and who is taking this site into a much better direction. As you will find out this site is really no different from many other car forums except that we take alot of pride in ourselves on trying to be helpful and polite to each other. This site is made up of all kinds of people from all walks of life, which helps bring that certain something to this site :) Also please take notice of the threads at the top of the sections that are labeled with "Sticky" in front of it. This has that title because it is useful information and/or reminders.

This FAQ thread was started in order for those of you who are new (or would like to brush up) to the sport compact world. Please take the time to look through the links and posts of not only these links provided within this thread, but also on this site. Chances are that if you are thinking it, it has already been asked and answered.

    EPHATCH OFFICIAL RULES AND GUIDELINES.

No Porn! Do not post pictures, links, or requests for, X-Rated material. There are plenty of other of places on the internet to get your fill of smut. We want to keep this site "work/family friendly" so don't post anything nastier than what you would see in say, a Maxim magazine. --Offending threads will be deleted. Offending members will be warned on the first offense... Banned on the second. Now we will be allowing more adult driven pics in the NWS Off-Topic section.

No Flamewars! Be respectful of other members. If you have a problem with something someone has posted, notify a moderator. No personal attacks, harassment, or "e-thuggery". --Offending threads will be locked. Offenders will be warned. Repeat offenders may be banned.

No Abusing the PM feature! Anybody using the PM feature to either harass or to advertise will be banned.

Make sure to use the FAQ and search feature! Many answers to commonly asked questions can be found in the FAQ, if that fails, try a search. If a thread is started that asks a question that can be easily found in the FAQ or a quick search, it will be locked.

Please post your threads in the proper subforum! "Check out this hot chick" does not belong in the engine subforum... 'Nuff said. Violating threads will be moved or deleted without notice, at the moderator's discretion.

Do not start multiple threads on the same topic! There is no reason to post the same thread in the "EP discussion" subforum, "Suspension" forum and the "Off-topic" forum. This is both annoying and a waste of bandwidth.

Please keep you sig-lines to 5 lines or less! We understand that you are proud of your ride, but you don't need to waste 20 lines of space with your "planned mods". Save it for your "Member's Rides" page please.

Please keep your PM boxes nice and clean! Make sure to delete any old messages from both your inbox and your "sent" items.

Be Respectful of Other Web-sites! We don't want members of other websites trolling in here, so please don't troll other websites.

No Trolls! Anyone joining this site for the sole purpose of taunting other members will be banned immediately.

Respect the Owner, Administrator, and the Moderators We all work hard to try and make this site a good one... So please don't give us any grief... Or we will ban you!

    Rules for avatars:

    1) Avatars are to be PG-13 or better - if yours isnt, you will be asked to change it or it will be changed for you. If you dont change it or keep changing to something that ISNT appropriate, your account will be locked.

2)If we get a complaint about your avatar, we will ask you to change it.

3)If you do not change, we will change it for you and/or ban you from the site so please be respectful to your fellow members.

    For the Newbie Section

The Newbie section is for new folks to say hi and I just got my SI kind of stuff. If you have any questions, please check out the Newbie Bible and Forum Rules first. Then continue to either start a thread or search the threads for what you are looking for. When asking a question if not relating to ephatch.com forum issues (log in problems, trouble with PM's, etc.). Then please post or search for the answers in the correct sections.

Any questions asked that do not conform to this format will be deleted.

    Thanks

Now we could have written these completely by ourselves but who has time for that considering someone else was kind enought to take the time to do it already.

Please keep in mind to look around and take in alittle before posting so you can understand how this site works. Please take advantage of our search feature (if the word falls under four letters use the * at the end to complete the search). Please be understanding and respectful to all those who come here. Cause in essence we are all here for the same things. To learn, to help where we can, to share, and to meet others who share similiar thoughts and feelings.

Also we like to keep the site clean, clean enough so we don't have to worry at work or in front of young ones. So please no NC-17 threads, unless they are pics of my girl friend.

If you are good to this site I will see to it that Lucy will love you long time

Please respect the site, the members, the moderators, the vendors, and those who are new here. We have built a reputation of being care bears here, so lets keep that image going :D

Brought to you proudly from the moderators of Ephatch

All sig pics are required to be 600x150 or smaller.

Also no sig gifs are allowed as they were proven to slow the Ephatch server down considerably. Thank you!
