    beneficial pre-turbo mods

I'm preparing my car for a future turbo, which basically means i'm avoiding mods that would benefit a N/A car like a 2.5 inch pipe ... 3 is better for turbo.

So does anyone know if a bored throttle body is a dangerous mod if one is going forced aspiration? The thinner inlet wall looks like the pressure could break it. :sadm:

Here are the mods I have so far that i think a beneficial for a turbo setup:

    intake manifold
    intake gasket
    lsd
    axles
    brakes + rotors
    open front bumper
    larger radiator
    vented hood
    bored throttle body????

You'll want to think about getting a compression test and leakdown test beforehand, and make sure everything looks good.

Some more mods you may want to get are:

EGT Gauge, so when you get the turbo & manifold you can install the temperature probe immediately

You may want a digital voltmeter to monitor the readings from your O2 sensor and read your A/F ratio in numerical form instead of disco LED gauges

Buy a set of cold range spark plugs

Install a better fuel pump, and you might want to think about hardwiring power for it

If your turbo kit doesn't come with it, you may want to get a turbo timer

    Water Temp Gauge
    Oil Pressure Gauge
    Oil cooler

    Motor mounts
