    CTR Engine question plz help

    Hi im a noob to this site and sorry if this is a stupid question

    My question is whats the difference between k20a1, k20a2 and so on engines?

    what is the best engine for a ctr ep3?

    I'm not exactly sure what a k20a1 is, but k20a2 (200whp) is the engine from the RSX Type-S.

    There is no such thing as the best engine for the CTR Ep3, cuz there is only one right? Factory built 197whp.

    I might be wrong on this one, but the k20a is from the DC5 (Intergra Type-R) with 220whp.

    The best OEM is the mtr from the DC5R(220 hp),but there is 1 for the JDM CTR @ 210-215 hp(I think).

    best engine to swap into the ep3 is the k20a comes with lsd and 6 speed.

    k20a not k20a1 that's the integra type r motor in japan (220 hp)

    k20a2 is the rsx-s motor (without lsd) and if im not mistaken its also the same engine as the civic type r (ep3) in japan.

    It's against Honda policy to have JDM CTR hp the same or lower than USDM DC5.Must be at least 205 hp.

    a jdm ctr has a k20a too...b.c they dont use the numbers in japan..and also on JDM CTRs LSD is standard in euro CTRs some countries have LSD as an option (i think) or LSD is not an option

    euro CTRs have k20a2s

    euro CTRs have k20a2s

    Both the JDM DC5 and CTR have the K20A with LSD etc.... the Euro/UK CTR has the K20A2 WITHOUT the LSD and has no option of one either and different gearbox ratios than the JDM CTR/DC5. :D

    k20a - dc5 motor 220ps (lsd)
    k20a1 - jdm ep3 motor 215ps (lsd)
    k20a2 - euro ep3/dc5 type s 200ps no lsd (i think there was a post i think from k-series were a guy from the uk had install a spoon lsd. he said that all euro ctr dont come with a lsd.)

    thats all i know

    The best engine would probably b a hybrid(e.g. K24 blk w/a DC5 head).I don't prefer NOS or Forced air.

    Yep we dont have the LSD.....boohoo.....or the recaros, tints or leccy folding windows that they have In Japan.

    if you can find one then get a the k24 motor from the tsx or accord type r. it incorporates the best of both the torque of the k24 and the head from the rsx type s or is it type r.

    Yeah I thought there is no k20a1. Is there or is there not a k20a1???
