I'm not sure... you could try to find a good supplier of 2-sided foam tape similar to the thickness of the goop you peeled off. 3M is generally a good namebrand that makes all kinds of adhesive stuff.

3M double sided adhesive tape is the way to go.

Trick to that is to get up a top to bottom section with the CC trick then stick a piece of legal paper to it, you will orient the paper such that the paper will roll onto the back of the sticker, think applying the paper back-wards or think of putting the sticker onto the paper. The paper will back the sticker and allow you to pull with even pressure, this also eliminates a BUNCH of the adhesive you will need to clean off.

DON'T USE A HEAT-GUN, a hairdryer works just fine, too hot and the sticker WILL fall apart. in-fact if you have a black or dark car on a sunny day I doubt you will need to add any heat. I did it in a 50Deg garage and needed to just get it warm, not hot.

Your local hardware store should have it. Someplace like Lowes or Home Depot. Some of your bigger AutoZones and such will sometimes have it.

Wow, I haven't heard of this! I'm sorry to hear it happened to you. Did you soften the sticky stuff with some heat or goop off? Did you pull on the emblem instead of cutting through the adhesive with string? Pics?
