Can I hear from people who have them. I'm thinking about getting a 22 mm, but think it may be too big for a car that won't be raced. I'm looking for better handling on the street. This will be my first suspension mod. Thanks.
i'd lower the car before putting a thicker rear sway on. with as much travel as the stock springs allow, you'll be putting a lot of stress on your endlinks when taking some corners at speed. with lowering springs and the thicker rear sway, you'll have a nice handling car for the street, but not necessarily dangerous.

you should lower you center of gravity first ... the sway bar will help it ... messing up ur endlinks are no fun ... suspension mods are addicting .... u keep wantin more!!!
the 22mm sway bar will be fine for the streets. If u went with the Mugen 25mm sway bar and didnt use it, then that would be an overkill. If u like to cut corners or just better handling, a 19mm or 22mm sway bar will be fine. I have a 22mm sway bar and loving it.

Could someone explain how 25mm would be overkill? I mean I plan on getting the mugen swaybar(after I lower) but I only strees my car once in a while, what would be the negatives of driving around town with a fat swaybar?
The 22mm will be fine. I have the Progress bar and love it, but I agree with the others when they say to lower your car first.
That's if it is a daily driver. A Mugen sway bar cost how much? Close to 3-4 bills right? It'll give u better handling and less understeer compared to a 19 or 22mm sway bar. If you don't push the car to its limit a 22mm compared to a 25mm they would be the same. The thicker the sway bar is, the less body roll it will give. So who is confused? heheh. I dunno how to put it in words. Hmm.... sort of like saying..... you have an Ferrari, u drive really slow, wouldn't that be a waste of all that HP? I love my 22mm comptech sway/tie bar combo..no probs on the street with it.
that seems to only be a problem with the Progress, which is symmetrical in shape. other sways provide clearance on the passenger side allowing for the exhaust piping to pass through without any problems.
I have the 22mm bar. The only other suspension mod I have is a rear upper strut bar...for now. I have had zero problems. A lot of people say the end links will go bad, but I don't understand that. Does the JDM Civic Type R have different end links? It is an amazing improvement in overall handling - like night and day. I love it and would recommend it...and for $100 it is a steal.
the only almost dangerous thing i can think of is three wheeling when u go into an entrance/exit wrong ... but thats cool at the same time :)
dco you guys with the 22 mm bars have new endlinks? this is a mod i've wanted to do for a while but i don't want my endlinks to snap
