avatar upload issues

I keep getting this error when attemptin to upload an avatar pic:

"Upload failed due to failure writing temporary file."

anybody else??? the photo is sized right for the avatar...

I had errors uploading one from a URL, but I downloaded the file to my computer and uploaded it from there.

mine worked just the way it did before so no problems here...i do however have time problems. It sys my posts are a lot earlier than the time here even after numerous attempts to fix it.
