If you have the money to actually paint the interior after you fully gut it that's what I'd do. Think about, I like knowing people can sit in my back seat but no one ever does...so why not benefit from my lack of friends :o(

I would vote no gut, but that is not an option. I wouldn't do it unless my ep was strictly a race car, and not a daily driver.

i would say go full or nothing at all.

but, if you just wanted to save a little weight without ruining your car (and turning the car into a 2 seater so people cant bum rides off of you), you could take out the spare, and rear seats. :)

GUTTING AN EP IS STUPID! If it is only a track car maybe... but I would have started witha better platform.

it isn't really "stupid" if you track/drag your car or don't want people bumming rides of you..

I've had 3 fully gutted project cars, some of which I've had to use as a DD from time to time. It's great for some people, and others can't take it. You hear -everything- on the road, and if you're single...most girls aren't to down with a loud usually uncomfortable car.

If you don't care about any of that gut it. Then cage it. You want the ultimate feel...weld in a cage. It will turn any car into something completely different. I just sold my gutted caged Wagovan...miss it, but I didn't have time for two cars with my new job. The experience in a gutted caged car even with only i/h/e (wagon had a built ZC) is visceral. It makes most common cars feel like race cars and can be quite thrilling.

You -will- notice a difference if you do a full gut, but your car is no longer quiet, or accommodating. If you can deal with that...then gut it. I've had enough of the gutting/caging, and I'd rather have something quiet, comfortable, AND fast.

I did a half gut. Handling and gas mileage improve a bit.
Plus it confuses my grandma. Which in itself is worth it.
